Alertis Privacy Policy

Alertis is operated by Two Women and an Acre LLC ("Alertis," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you create an account and use our personal notification service, and how we handle it, including SMS text messages.

Information we collect

Contact info you give us at signup: first and last name, email address, and phone number
Account credentials (your password is stored as a one-way hash, we never see or store it in plain text)
The alert conditions you set up in your account
Billing information handled entirely by PayPal, we never see or store your card or bank details

How we use your information

To create and secure your account, including verifying your phone number and email address at signup
To deliver the alerts you configure, by SMS, and by email where you've chosen that channel
To send account-related messages: verification codes, password reset codes, and billing confirmations
To respond when you contact support

SMS / text messaging

By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box at signup, you agree to receive SMS account notifications from Alertis. Message frequency depends on the alerts you set up. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

Your mobile information will not be sold, shared, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This does not include the messaging vendor we use to actually deliver texts on our behalf (currently Telnyx); that vendor only processes your phone number to deliver messages on our instruction and is contractually bound to keep it confidential.

Reply STOP to any Alertis text to opt out of SMS at any time. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not delete your account, you can set individual alerts to deliver by email instead, or re-enable SMS at any time.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account from your profile page, your account data is deleted, not just deactivated.

Your rights

You can review and update your name, phone, and email from your profile page at any time
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any Alertis text
You can delete your account and its data entirely from your profile page
